Out with the Old, In with the Next Chapter

I’m writing this post to mark an incredibly exciting new chapter for Eden & Co.

For the first few years, we’ve been in true startup mode — think home office, contract help, and lots of late nights figuring out systems and processes. It’s been scrappy, creative, and full of heart. But now, it feels like we’re growing up. We’ve graduated from the early days — maybe even skipped a few grades — and are stepping into a whole new phase of business.

Our processes are streamlined, our design services refined. We’ve launched our own textile line and perfected how we design and produce those collections. And our team is expanding! Just last week, we moved into a bigger office space — still in the same building, just down the hall, but double the size. (Trust me, our overflowing library is thrilled about the extra breathing room!)

When I first started, I took on anything and everything — every opportunity was a chance to learn and grow. Now, we’re intentional about the projects we accept. We’ve established project minimums and focus on partnering with our ideal clients — those who share our vision and appreciate the Eden & Co. aesthetic. We’re honing in on boutique hospitality projects — hotels, restaurants, spas — as well as select custom homes that capture our signature style.

This past year, we even celebrated a major milestone: winning an IIDA award for Best Play Category, standing alongside some incredibly prestigious peers. Moments like that remind me how far we’ve come — and how much further we’re going.

Truthfully, I hadn’t planned to expand just yet. I’ve been intentional about how and when to grow, balancing the rhythm of business with the rhythm of life — especially with my daughter still just three years old. I’d thought I might wait until kindergarten to take this leap, but sometimes the next step makes itself known before you’re ready. And when it does, you say yes.

After sixteen years in this industry — half my life, really — from design school through four incredible firms and finally building my own, I’m now creating the kind of work I’ve always dreamed of. It’s surreal, humbling, and exhilarating all at once.

So here’s to the next five years — to growth, to refinement, and to continuing to build spaces that inspire. Cheers to what’s next for Eden & Co! 🥂
