We’re excited to share our involvement in the design journey of BRIX Residences—a flexible living community in the heart of Salt Lake City, operated by Placemakr. BRIX redefines urban living by offering a luxury residential experience with the warmth and comfort of hospitality.
We worked alongside the owner and marketing team, contributing to the logo and branding to ensure the interiors were aligned with the brand vision. Our goal was to create a design that reflects the diverse and dynamic lives of the people who will call BRIX home. Modern and sleek, the interiors are grounded in a global design narrative—blending African and Scandinavian influences to create a refined and aesthetic.
Although we were initially hired to provide furnishings, our role quickly expanded to include final finish selections and consulting on details as specific as the fireplace rock color, cabinet finishes, carpet, and rugs. With the building’s polished concrete floors throughout, we brought in plush, soft rugs to add warmth and comfort and layered in task lighting to set the mood.
We don’t often use white in commercial spaces—though we love it—because it can get dirty quickly. But in this case, the owner was not only open to it but consistently encouraged us to push creative boundaries. Their vision inspired us to deliver something elevated and bold at every turn.
The intention for BRIX was to create a place that feels like home—where residents can work during the day, relax in the lounge, and truly live. Designed for both long-term and short-term stays, BRIX offers flexibility without compromising on style or comfort.
The space's guiding message—“Unlock the Life You Deserve”—sets the tone for an environment that’s both aspirational and welcoming. Highlights include: a state-of-the-art fitness center, a two-story clubroom with a mezzanine, game space, and coffee lounge.
We were thrilled to collaborate with AJC Architects and Okland Construction, who did an outstanding job bringing the building to life. It was our privilege to come in and elevate the experience.
